that comment is baloney. I'm a graphic designer, and I have one of these business cards, and they're definitely not cheap to print. They're custom printed (ie, not a business-card web printer), on a custom size and specialty paper. Actually fairly expensive.
Thanks for the comment. To be clear, I never stated Sun in my Belly's specific business card was inexpensive to print (I'm sure the paper was pricey). I was only referencing the simplicity of the design and the cleverness of their name. Sometimes that all you need to get by.
Many small business owners can elevate the perception of their brand by hiring a professional graphic designer to create a stellar logo and business card. But for those on a shoestring budget, keeping a design simple and elegant with proper use of whitespace will give their business a credible look. This keeps expenses down until their accountants let them take their identity to the next level.
